Most people clean it with either carb or brake cleaner. I would make sure it says MAF sensor safe on the can though. The wire inside the MAF sensor heats up and measures the amount of air through voltage drop. I wouldn't think WD-40 could mess it up, but certainly you're wanting a chemical that removes oils, not adds them.
You want to wash that salty crap off the underside of your car/truck? Rig up a PCV pipe with a garden hose connection on one end and a PVC pipe on the other end like a T. Drill some holes in the PVC pipe, turn on the water and wash. I spray it with wd-40 and it looks like new.

Is it ok to spray WD-40 on your pulleys (behind eack one where it bolts to the block) if there is a squeaking problem? I would think that it would eat up the bearing grease in them. If it IS ok, should it be used liberally or sparingly? Or maybe a nice high visc. oil would do better. Any
